El mango de azúcar (Mangifera indica L.) es cultivado en el departamento del Magdalena, municipios Santa Marta y Ciénaga principalmente, lugar donde expresa su mejor comportamiento agronómico calidad la fruta. Su alta demanda ha generado necesidad aumentar las áreas cultivo; sin embargo, no existen criterios definidos para identificar zonas potenciales establecimiento. estudio consistió construir un índice suelo producción función doce indicadores físicos quince químicos los suelos. En seis fincas Magdalena se seleccionaron tres parcelas 350 m2 por finca cada parcela caracterizaron propiedades físicas químicas Las características suelos cultivar mayor rendimiento fruta fueron referencia variable estudiada. indicador formuló variables que explicaban variabilidad más redundantes base a sus correlaciones.
